Before I start, I would like to say, this short paragraph can’t capture how much I love this internship. After going through this internship and doing a little research, I found that my needs and values aligned with that of a financial consultant. Why ACDC? Before this internship, I never could have imagined work would be fun and something I looked forward to every day. However, I have found a new family here at ACDC. This warm and tight-knit community where everyone is willing to help one another is the reason why I chose to stay.

The Great Eastern internship is more than just an internship. Under ACDC guidance, it has more to offer to a computer science student like me who has minimal knowledge about financial planning. Through these six weeks long internship, it has made me to realise the importance of financial planning. And even to those who do not consider being a financial consultant next time, this is a great opportunity for yall to gain insights on essential interpersonal skill as well as future wealth planning. Meanwhile, knowing someone/ make friends from other universities/courses can also be a takeaway from this internship!!

The ACDC internship is honestly one of the highlights in my summer break! I made many new friends and learned a lot about different types of insurances and ways to invest. Though I may not be joining the company after the internship, I can definitely recommend my mentors and peers since I can attest to their upright characters and passion. For anyone that could be interested in learning more about their own insurance plans, I would highly recommend this internship to them! 😀

Before joining ACDC internship, I had a rather negative impression of Financial Consult and Insurance agents in general as I’ve felt that all they wanted to do was to force and con people into signing contracts and policies. However, after this internship, it has really helped me to better understand things from their point of views, how the products they recommend are also beneficial towards ourselves as well, and how most of them actually have our best interests in mind, only pushing for products that suit and benefit us.

Throughout this internship with ACDC 2022, it gave me a wider insight of financial planning. I have learnt a lot from them other than finance-wise and I really enjoyed my 6-weeks with them, especially my mentors!
